Noreen expreses many thanks to Tim Kotzar, Principal of St Andrews Lutheran College on the Gold Coast, for providing a glowing testimonial. Annual Flu vaccine clincs have been provided to St Andrews staff since 2008.

I write to thank you for the exceptional service you provide to our College each year.
For the past three years Management at our College have offered staff free flu vaccinations. Our numbers have risen since the first time it was offered and now we have over a third of our staff taking advantage of this offer. Our observations are that staff have been away from work through illness less than in previous years and those that have felt unwell have commented that flu type symptoms did not come to anything and they were able to continue working.
The rise in staff numbers participating in the vaccination offer is by no means a happy coincidence. Many staff have commented on how good GCNP are at administering the injection and are wanting to ensure that GCNP will be back again next year. Many staff have said they hardly felt the injection. We have even had one staff member who has previously fainted at the sight of needle coming back for a second year! So many staff had encouraged her saying it was a painless procedure. Obviously, GCNP are noted for their quick and efficient administering of this needle!
As far as the administration of this program is concerned, it has been easy to compile a spreadsheet and send it to GCNP. A date, time and venue within the College was set and staff have been advised by email and asked to respond if they will like to participate. A reminder to staff prior to the day to complete their consent form and turn up is then all that is required.
GCNP has also offered other vaccinations to the College, including the triple antigen for Whooping Cough, Tetanus and Diphtheria. With so many staff either working with young children or becoming either parents or grandparents, many took advantage of the convenience of the nurse coming to their place of work rather than taking time from work to go to their Doctor.
In recent years we had two staff off work with whooping cough and seeing the shattering effects it had on their health and their lives, the College was more than happy to offer the services of GCNP to Staff at the same time as the flu vaccination.
Thank you GCNP for being so pleasant and efficient to deal with. Thank you for coming back administering to the two or three staff who couldn’t make it on the day. Your services are appreciated.
Management will continue to offer staff the free flu vaccination and St Andrews will certainly be using GCNP by special request of staff.
